O Museum in The Mansion

Known as The Secret Door Museum, O Museum in The Mansion is a non-profit institution with 112 rooms, over 80 secret doors, immersive themed exhibits, and the most unique collection of artifacts in the country. They are a designated historic site on The African American Heritage Trail and Booking.com named them “The Coolest Place in DC”.

When you visit, you’ll find something for everyone – from a photography exhibit that opened at the World Peace Festival, to a running shoe Allison Felix wore at the Olympics, to Miss USA’s crown, to guitars signed by Bono, Bob Dylan, and even Britney Spears.

Whether it’s seeing Civil Rights Activist Mrs. Rosa Parks’ room (this was her home-away-from home for 10 years), the Pop Culture Room, the Log Cabin, or Chucky’s Room if you dare … you’ll be inspired to think differently and have fun!
